Annual Finance Career Fair

One of my needs assessments revealed that some Finance departments were having difficulty successfully placing Analysts into Senior Analyst and Assistant Manager roles. I uncovered two reasons: Analysts did not know enough about these departments to apply for these roles, and those who did lacked familiarity with what hiring managers looked for in candidates. So I created an annual Finance Career Fair so Analysts could talk with hiring managers and team members across all departments, to get a better understanding of open roles and requirements.

Result: After the first year, hiring managers across Finance reported much greater interest in their open roles and a higher success rate for candidates. Plus the fun atmosphere and light competition of the Career Fair drew employees back year after year. It became an annual event everyone looked forward to and enjoyed.
